WELCOME TO
THE LOW DENSITY RECRUITING (LDR) PROGRAM
Welcome to the Low Density Recruiting Program Website. You've come to the right place if you are interested in starting, re-starting or continuing a career in Military Intelligence, Signal Corps or one of the many other Miltary Careers or amazing opportunites in the Army National Guard. The Low Density Recruiting Program specializes in helping current and future soldiers find their career in the Army National Guard. Get started by clicking on the link below that best describes you or visit our Live Support forum and one of coordinators will be glad to assist you.
The Army National Guard has been tasked to contribute significant resources in response to the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT). Since the commencement of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, Soldiers from Army National Guard units have made important contributions to these efforts. Soldiers from the Army National Guard are also heavily involved protecting this Nation while working with Department of Homeland Security. The skills and backgrounds which these Soldiers bring are indispensable to the success of the Army National Guard and this Nation. The Army National Guard has made it a priority to increase the readiness posture of its force structure. Consequently, the Low Density Recruiting Program and the Augmentation Management Platform (AMP) were initiated to address that challenge.

Thanks!
To whom it may concern,
I would like to take a moment and say thank you to SFC Kenneth
Jerby. I contacted him last week via the live support on ldr.com
on re classing from an 11B to a 35L in the Florida Army National
Guard. Over this past week he has continued to provide me with
info and contact numbers that I would have not of been able to get very easily. Although I am still searching for a unit, I am
confident that with the help of SFC Kenneth Jerby I will find one
soon.
Thank You
Chad Caudill, SGT
Thoughts on joining the ARNG
I wasn't originally interested in enlisting into the Reserves or National Guard. But I was offered a reduction in MSO if I signed on. I also would not be required to deploy for two years after joining, and since I was only joining for a year. They found a slot for me with the Arkansas National Guard just a few minutes from my house. I didn't know that they even had slots for linguists.
I've only drilled with my unit once so far, but they have been very welcoming. They returned recently from Iraq themselves. They are looking for input on training from me, already, and I'm looking forward to sharing with them the training resources we've used on the Active side. They've even cut me orders to work with them full time, since I have not yet found a position in the civilian world.
I think a year or two in the Guard or Reserve is a good transition for separating Active Duty members. It gives you a chance to still have the support and connection of a military unit, but close to home, only part-time. You can breathe a little easier because you know you won't deploy for two years. Guard and Reserve units are looking for people with experience and expertise. So consider it.

Thanks for the Assistance
George: Your program has been a big help to me in finding some of the 35 series MOSs. A lot of the midwestern states do not have the 35 or 25 series MOSs in their Force Structure.
Without your program a lot of the contracts I wrote would not have been so. Your assistance also provided me with valuable time not have to search each state or call State coordinator for the details. Your response time time and actions have truly helped me . Undersatand that when you are talking to people they want that information now.
Thanks again for all of your assistance.
Ms Valerie Frazier, Reserve Component Career Counselor
Great Recruiting Resource
The Low Density Recruiting (LDR) program has proven to be a great recruiting resource for the Florida Army National Guard. LDR counselors have done an outstanding job of aligning qualified Soldiers with unique MOS qualifications into a reserve component unit where their skills and knowledge are sustained and utilized for mission readiness. This FY, we currently have 11 DMOSQ LDR
reservations or contracts for hard to fill, hard to train positions. Mr
George Haughton has coordinated 7 of these 11 reservations/contracts.

Amazing Program
This is an amazing program for those soldiers who hold MOSes avaialble. If your active duty and looking for a National Guard position in your MOS check it out.

First Drill
Mr. McNeil,
Thank you for introducing me to the LDR Program. The program has given me the opportunity to continue serving my country while allowing me the flexibility I need for my school schedule. Mr. McNeil, you have been instrumental in making the transition from Army to National Guard, civilian life effectively seamless from my perspective. Initially, there were no job opportunities for my MOS in the state of Washington, my home of record. You found an adequate position for me in southern California and got me onboard quickly. A few weeks later, as you continued to work on my case, you found an open position for a person of my rank and MOS in a town, within 50 miles of my HOR. During my first drill with this unit, both the leadership and the soldiers treated me with respect and we had a good training weekend.
I am very pleased with my entire transition experience, thanks mostly to the LDR Program. Thank you Mr. McNeil for being constantly vigilant as how to better acccomodate my situation and for keeping me up to date as to the progress of my file.
Respectfully,
Kenneth Tibeau, SGT
Thanks...Great Soldiers!
I have been in the RCT business for 4 years now and each time you call me for a position and send us a qualified soldier, the state of Indiana is just that much better off. To get one of these highly qualified soldiers is a bonus for us. The caliber of the soldiers coming to us, are of the highest quality that the army can produce and we appreciate it.
I often refer your internet site to the gaining units, so they can get more information on the LDR program and what it can do for the INARNG.
Indiana is open for your business. We are still giving the 24 month
stabilization for those coming off active duty, also here in Indiana is the Camp Atterbury / Muscatatuck Training Center and have Title 10 CONUS Mobilization jobs open if you are interested. If you are interested, send me an email and I will point you in the right direction.
To all the LDR people, and the soldiers thanks. You have our (Indiana's) gratitude and respect.
Thanks,
1SG (Ret) Rick White, Civ RCT Manager, Det 18 R&R Headquarters
Thank You
Don/Ken:
I want to take a minute and thank both of you for all of your efforts on behalf of the UTARNG. We have received many qualified and dedicated soldiers through the LDR program because of your hard work. MAJ Takmili of the 142nd MI in particular commented on that very fact last week. We appreciate being
able to receive quality soldiers to add to our force, and you have done just that. The MI and the SF have both benefited highly from your efforts and I have been remiss in not thanking you in writing before this time. If there is anything we can do to help you, please let us know.
Thanks again for all you do!
Mr. Steve Ohngren, IST/ISR Coordinator, JFHQ-UT
Great Program
There is no hesitation on my end on commending the LDR Program for having placed me in an outstanding unit at the end of my Active Duty service. The 33rd BSTB out of Bloomington, Illinois, has been very accepting of my quarterly presence for their drills and annual training (just completed last month) and have treated me as one of their own though I live roughly 600 miles away. I have had no problem drilling with a local unit here in Asheville, NC, when not authorized to travel to IL and have had the necessary SUTA paperwork transferred to the 33rd BSTB with no trouble at all. The travel reimbursement through the LDR program for my trips to IL has been seamless and fair and, frankly, beyond my expectations (yes, I expected a bureaucratic paper nightmare but it never came to fruition).
Thus far, I have been very impressed with the LDR program and care with which both yourself and others show to those of us who fall under the program's auspices. Keep up the good work and I look forward to continuing to recommend the program to those who ask.
Sincerely,
John McAfee, SGT, Co B 33rd BSTB
Great Tool
I just want to write and let you all know that the LDR program is a great tool for soldiers. It makes serving your country that much easier. From the website that you showed you to the assistance that you've been providing, you've really made my transition alot easier.
