Welcome to the Army National Guard's Low Density Recruiting Program website.
The Low Density Recruiting Program has many functions as outlined below:
- Primarily designed to assist Soldiers transitioning from the Active Duty Army with finding a position in the Army National Guard for which they are MOS qualified. We will assist any Soldier wishing to find an assignment in the Army National Guard after they ETS from Active Duty, but we primarily focus on those low density but high demand critically skilled MOSs (click here to view MOSs currently authorized funding for travel) such as Military Intelligence and Army Signal Corps Soldiers. If we find you, and you accept, an assignment that is 150 miles or more from your Home of Record, we will distribute travel funding to the state where you will be assigned provided you meet all the qualifications for the funding. If you want to see if you meet the requirements for participation in the program, visit our contacts page and get in touch with our Coordinator who serves your installation.
- Finding positions for current Army National Guard Soldiers who, due to life events, have to relocate to another state or to an area that is 150 miles or more from their unit of assignment. If we can't find you a position within 50 miles of your new home of record and you meet all our qualifications for funding, we will distribute funding to your state of assignment to enable you to continue to drill in a unit and a duty position for which you are qualified. Again, our primary focus is on those low density but high demand critical skills MOSs in the Military Intelligence and Army Signal Corps units. If you think you may qualify for participation in the LDR Program under our Current Guardsman Project, you should review the policies and procedures here. If you are unsure what to do after reviewing the policies and procedures, you can visit our contacts page and contact our Coordinator who serves your state.
- We can also assist local Army National Guard Recruiters in finding prospects who meet the requirements of these critical skills MOSs. Our Coordinators have decades of experience in finding the right prospect for the right position. If you would like us to assist you in any way, please visit our contacts page and get in touch with our Coordinator who serves your state. We're here to provide you with any assistance you need to be successful in achieving your mission.
We thank you for stopping by and should you have any more questions or feel that you need further assistance after reviewing this information, please feel free to contact our Program Manager, Mr. George Williams, at 703-604-4200 or via e-mail.
Funding questions should be directed to Mr. Alan Matcke.
Unit Readiness/Training NCOs/Unit or State Staff(s)/RCCCs should contact the LDR Program Coordinator that serves their state or installation for information about Soldiers assigned to their unit.
